Donate to help Queer Voices grow

Queer Voices has 28 members and growing, but we meet in a boardroom that seats 14.

We need a larger meeting space—one that can accommodate 30–50 people.

 Our current venue costs $1,872 per year for two monthly meetings.

Our research indicates that to rent a larger but still professional space will likely cost three to four times more. Even with increased club fees from new members, we would anticipate a $4,200 shortfall.

For this group, the quality of space truly matters.

The club empowers LGBTQ people to use their Voices in “halls of power,” where they’ve often been marginalized by patriarchy, classism, homophobia, and transphobia. To prepare for those settings, we must practice not in library side-rooms and community centre art rooms, but in boardrooms and conference halls—which simply cost more.
